The Horn of Plenty
The 11,000-square-meter artwork on the interior façade of Rotterdam's Market Hall shows greatly magnified fruits, vegetables, grains, fish, flowers and insects. According to artists Arno Coenen & Iris Roskam, who wanted to evoke a childlike sense of wonder with this work, the Horn of plenty is a worship of nature and an ode to the universe. Coenen realized the work in collaboration with Architectenburo MVRDV. One for Sami's Colourful World here.

We are now coming to an age when your friends and family start to lose you like here my cousin born 16-02-1941. ( Header as a counterpoint. Ran into these ladies day before yesterday and despite it being only 5° C they were walking around looking quite naked).

Signs of protest
Residents of the Esch in Rotterdam are protesting because exactly where there is now a piece of nature reserve the Municipality wants to build a bridge over the Nieuwe Maas to relieve the adjacent Brienenoord bridge. Add up all those little pieces and you have nothing left at all.

Viewpoint the Nes
Viewpoint the Nes along the New Maas in Rotterdam here looked along the Buiten Bassinweg and the header the skyline on the other side. The bollards in the water are parking bollards for the large barges (think with a length of 60 to 110 m) that take cargoes in the port for destinations in Europe and have to wait their turn.

Using an old Windows laptop
I miss my mac quite a bit but it seems to be ready tomorrow. That's why I took this picture of the toilet in a restaurant in Rotterdam where I was yesterday on the occasion of the rooftop days. Some more pictures of this in the coming days.
