In those few seconds of exiting the Y tunnel, you just have to overlook all that. By the way, thanks to road works on the ring road around Amsterdam (closed for one direction), it is strangely quiet on the road.

Typical Amsterdam intersection
At such an intersection in this street (Ceintuurbaan) we lived for 9 years until we left for Almere. It was so noisy that at first in Almere we could not sleep from the silence. Now, fortunately, we can. ( Header on the northside of Almere with a view from the Oostvaarders dike over the Marker lake)

Just because it's possible
Vijzelstraat 2:28 P.M. Ban the car out of town is paying off. Once one of the busiest streets in town now you can stand in the middle while two years ago you even couldn't crossing the street around this time without a traffic light.

Driving nuisance.
The season of turning every pavement and street upside down has started again. To find your way through the city without inside knowledge is nearly impossible.

Its now 1 minute before twelve.
17:10 on the way back home from amsterdam to almere and we have to insert on the right side of the road.
Any more asphalt and holland is gone. Not to speak about the air quality. A sure sign something is going terrible wrong. One for Signs, Signs here.
