Sunday rest
Yesterday I took a veteran with me. A nikon d700 with, according to many, one of the worst lenses ever of nikon.The 24-120 zoom. Well, that's not so bad, although nature helps out a bit as well.

A tower with a view
View from the watch tower standing on a little peninsula in the Weerwater Almere.
The tower itself made from concrete sewer pipe elements and in total 21 m high.

The N-O polder

Tulip fields are advancing
Where once cows were grazing from a milk and cheese farm now stands tulip fields on just a 4 km walk from our house.
Its a first in our part of the polder and perhaps a sign that you as farmer can earn more with tulips then with cows. Still am not sure what I like more. Cows in the meadow or tulips in the fields. One for Signs, Signs here.

Tulips to the horizon
but the weather was not very nice.
Cold, wet and windy as you can see here despite the shining sun. So we decided to come back when the circumstances are a bit better in the North East Polder.
Some tulips are already cut again for the bulbs grow.

First generation
Yesterday evening I made this shot with a just bought second hand camera. The Panasonic L1, the first 4/3 camera from them with its standard Leica 14-50 lens.
Here 3 generations at home (hobby). Funny thing is the first one is a real DSLR with a mirror but it looks like a rangefinder. Everything after that not.
The size of the display also gives the IQ of the camera's away in those 10 years that these exist. Still the L1 mustn't be underestimated. For the money you pay today you can have a lot of fun and learn a lot of photography with this DSLR.
