FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 Community Champions Induction

A Eden Park per la presentazione dei Community Champions per FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 . Da sinistra Roberta Salamon, Italian Chamber of Commerce in NZ, Alessandra Zecchini, Dante Society Alighieri Auckland, Chiara Corbelletto, Ondazzurra, Flavia Berucci, Dante Alighieri Society Auckland, Rossella Quaranta, Comites Nuova Zelanda. La prima partita dell'Italia (contro Argentina) ad Auckland sarà il 24 luglio! E poi a Wellington il 29 luglio e 2 agosto.

The Italian community representatives at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 Community Champions Induction event last night in Eden Park. What a wonderful spontaneous party you get when you put so many communities under one roof! But most of all how exciting that the Women World Cup is coming up in just three months' time! We can’t wait to welcome our team

Welcome to New Zealand to the Italian team Ugo (Unite Gareggiamo Ovunque)

Welcome to New Zealand to the Italian team Ugo (Unite Gareggiamo Ovunque) to take part to the IBCPC Dragon Boat Festival. The Festival is held every 3 to 4 years under the auspices of the International Breast Cancer Paddlers’ Commission and is an international non-competitive participatory event for breast cancer paddler teams who engage in Dragonboat activities as post breast cancer diagnosis rehabilitation. For the first time since the establishment of IBCPC in 2010, the festival will take place in the southern hemisphere in New Zealand. All the best to our Italian Team!!! Forza Ragazze!!!

Comitato di benvenuto per la squadra italiana che parteciperà alla Dragon Boat Race organizzata dall'International Breast Cancer Paddler's Commission

Attenzione italiani ad Auckand: la squadra UGO Unite Gareggiamo Ovunque parteciperà al Festival Mondiale IBCPC Dragon Boat che si terrà dal 10 al 16 aprile al lago Karapiro, organizzato dall'International Breast Cancer Paddler's Commission e riservato alle squadre di donne operate di tumore al seno che utilizzano il Dragon Boat come attività riabilitativa post-operatoria. La squadra, composta da 28 atlete, 3 allenatori, 2 medici, una fisioterapista e 3 accompagnatori, arriverà all' Auckland International Airport martedì 11 aprile alle ore 9.50 con volo Emirates. Se volete unirvi a noi e trovarvi agli arrivi internazionali a quell'ora (magari con bandiere italiane), sarà bello accogliere le nostre atlete e tutta la squadra. Passate parola 💗💗💗

Arrivederci e grazie Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team!

Dante members Alessandra, Flavia, Chiarina and Sandra at the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli base after the last fatal race: we were sad but not disappointed, there was a great atmosphere of solidarity and support, with families and fans still cheering on and the sailors putting on a brave face and wonderful smiles.

Congratulations to Emirates Team New Zealand for winning the 36 edition of the America's Cup, and a huge grazie, thank you, to Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team for an exciting America's Cup which bought the Italians in New Zealand closer to home. It was a pleasure for the Dante Auckland to host members of the team to the Festival Italiano last November, and then to cheer them on as they won the Prada Cup. Our support continued through to the end, and we were delighted of the three points acquired during the finals, a record for an Italian team! Well done for coming so far, and all the best for the next Regatta!

AC MILAN Coaches coming to Auckland!

This coming September young aspiring footballers will be able to join the International Football Camp in Auckland run by visiting AC Milan coaches. Five days of training, learning, fun and Italian lunches provided by Gina's Restaurant, plus players will be assessed and possibly selected to attend a training camp in Italy, all expenses paid by AC Milan! Learn Soccer Italian Style in Auckland

After the great success of the 2013 inaugural event in Auckland, Top Flight Football Academy is once again very proud and excited to host the “Soccer Italian Style” coaches in Auckland, for the second SIS event, in July 2014.

The Italian coaches will be Matteo Fazzini, who was here last year with Mirko Mazzantini, and Alessandro Limone. Matteo coaches at Fiorentina and Alessandro at Empoli FC.

Players Camp, July 7 – July 11:

Venue: Bill McKinley Park, Mt Wellington, Auckland

Morning (60 Players): 10am – 12pm (8^th – 10^th grade)

Afternoon (60 Players): 2pm – 4pm (11^th – 14^th grade)

Recent Dante activities

During the recent School Holiday the Dante Auckland has been busy with a series of events:

Italiani in Nuova Zelanda

Last Friday the Dante welcomed Mirko and Matteo, two Italian Soccer Coaches visiting New Zealand to train Kiwi kids in Italian Soccer. Thank you Fiorella and all at the Dante for organizing the event.

Dante Children

Durante le school holidays the Dante children attended this course, and not only learned about planting and cooking with Italian herbs, but they also made taralli and grissini! Yum!

Music

Finally, on Sunday, 28 July, two pianists visiting from Italy performed music for two pianos as part of the Dante Alighieri Chamber Music Series. Massimo Perciaccante and Sara Dominici played music by Mozart, Shostakovich, Saint-Saëns and Milhaud in the Lewis Eady Showroom, Remuera.

Party at the Dante for visiting Italian soccer coaches

Join us to welcome to Auckland Mirko Mazzantini and Simone Bombardieri, two Italian soccer coaches who are here to run training events for children and coaches. Mirko and Simone are from Tuscany and work with young players at ACF Fiorentina and Empoli FC. Their “Soccer Italian Style” courses are being held in Panmure in mid-July.
