Learn Italian and WIN!




Dear students and Dante members,


Thank you to Cinema Italiano Festival, the Italian Film Festival in New Zealand, we have 30 invites to two Opening Gala Nights in Auckland to give away to new and to returning students.

For returning students: 
All you have to do is to pay for your usual class by Thu 20 April and you are in to win an invite for you and a friend to the Opening Gala Night of Fellini's masterpiece LA STRADA  on 4 May, 6:35pm, at The Capitol Cinema. Italian food and drinks included, info here.    
Ten winners will be randomly selected on 21 April and notified by email. 

For New Students:
Come to our Dante Open Day on Wed 19 April, 5-7pm, Freemans Bay Community Centre, 52 Hepburn St, Freemans Bay. The first 10 new students to enrol to a class will receive one invite to the Opening Gala Night of Cinema Italiano at the Bridgeway Cinema on Wednesday 3 May, screening the comedy Belli Ciao. This is always a great party, with live music plus Italian food and drinks: info here. What a wonderful way to start your learning experience with us!!

Festival Raffle Winners!

Dante Raffle 2020 - Win some amazing prizes!


Our annual Dante Raffle is back! We may not be able to travel to Italy this year, but we have some amazing prizes for you, to make the most of the dolce vita here in New Zealand!


1st Prize




Win a long weekend for 6 at Bombardino Chalet in Ohakune, with welcoming Italian dinner!

Our first prize this year is an Italian style experience here in wonderful New Zealand! Bombardino Chalet is a modern holiday home in Ohakune, complete with Spa, mountain views, and located within walking distance from shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Prize pack includes two nights for 6 people and welcoming Italian dinner by hosts Simona and Massimo, to be enjoyed between November 2020 e March 2021 (date to be arranged with hosts, dependant on availability, public holidays excluded). Win a beautiful Italian scarf created by Touched by Fire, value $280

Touched by Fire is a small company based in Christchurch (New Zealand) with the aim to ignite a passion for exquisite forms, fabrics, textures and colours. The scarves are conceptualised and designed by Simon Ogden in New Zealand. Once the designs are ready, they are sent to Italy. In Lake Como natural fibres are blended and woven into fabrics that hang softly and best react to natural dyes, bringing the nuances of colour and the details of the design to life. At this point, the printed material travels to Bologna. In Bologna a team of committed artisans cuts, washes and finishes each scarf by hand before the journey back to New Zealand.

Pasta & Cuore is an Italian Restaurant and Pastificio in the heart of Mt Eden, open from lunch through to dinner Tuesday to Saturday. They specialise in handmade fresh pasta using quality ingredients and traditional methods, and run pasta and gnocchi classes at different levels.

To be in to win just buy a raffle ticket from the Dante Alighieri Society, tickets will be on sale from 30 September at the Dante School in Freemans Bay, Auckland, or through our volunteers, and all day until 4pm on 8 November at the Festival Italiano in Newmarket. 
Tickets or prizes will not be sent by post.
 
Tickets: $5 for 1 or a pack of 5 tickets for $20. Tickets are numbered 0001 - 1000.

Winning tickets will be drawn from a barrel on 8 November, 4.30pm on Stage at Festival Italiano, Osborne Lane, Newmarket, Auckland. Results will be notified publicly on www.dante.org.nz on 10 November 2020. In case of event of cancellation the draw will be done one week after the Festival date. The winners, if not present, will be notified by phone.

All proceeds from the sale of tickets will go to the Dante Auckland School for children.

Win A trip to Italy and other fantastic prizes with the Festival Italiano Raffle



In occasion of our Festival Italiano the Dante Auckland is proud to announce the annual raffle. There are only 3000 tickets so be quick for your chance to win some fantastic prizes, including a trip to Italy!



First Prize
Win a trip to Rome or Milan (your choice) offered by the Dante Auckland
in collaboration with Moa Travel

The prize includes 1 return economy class airfare to either Rome or Milan, plus 3 nights accommodation in your chosen city. 
Raffle draw on 25 September 2016, 3.30pm, at the Festival Italiano, in the presence of a Justice of the Peace. The lucky winner will need to arrange the travel dates, which will be between 1 March and 30 September 2017 depending on availability, with Moa Travel by 30 October 2016. 



 Second Prize
Italian dinner for two offered by Pasta & Cuore

CENA PER DUE dal titolo L'Emilia a tavola, degustazione piatti tipici di Bologna e dintorni accompagnati dai vini regionali. Dall'antipasto al dolce (valore circa $200)

All money raised will go towards the Dante Auckland school for children to run our classes and holiday programmes. The school of the Dante Auckland doesn't receive any funding from Italy or New Zealand and relies entirely on its own finances, donations and the work of our volunteers. This raffle is our yearly fundraiser so thank you all for your support.
